Ditdit Network 2.5 System:
Possible highest score: 135%

Area 1: Battle Quality (Worth 70% Total)
A: Quality (65% max(Battle Quality can be in either humor or, if the battle is meant to be serious, how well written the battle is)
B: Length (5% Max(Explained in Area 1A))
DEDUCTION:
A: Typos (Typos can lower battle quality, depending on how common they are in the battle that is being checked)
B: Text Color (-10% if it is not color-coded)

Area 1A: Length (5% of all BQ)
The reason that there is length is because, let's face it, no one likes a short battle.  The percent you would get would depend on the length of the battle; if it's of considerable length, you will get the full 5%.  I'm very lenient with this category too. :)

Area 2: Site Design (Worth 25% Total)
A: Navigation (20% Max.)   Simple; have good links and make it easy to find things, and you'll get the full 20%.
B: Graphics (5% Max.)  If the graphics work and there are no broken pics, it's easy to get the full 5%.
DEDUCTION:
A:Broken links (-2% Each; -5% if it's a battle archive link)

Area 3: Updates (Worth 35% Total)
(Only need 1 battle a week to gain percent!)
A: Adding a battle in the week of the ranking (+5%)

B: Adding only an extra (excluding tournaments) (+0%)   Unless you're not even listed, an extra will keep you where you are on the list.  If you update with an extra two or more weeks in a row, points start to deduct....
DEDUCTION:
A: Not updating (-5%)
You will be off the topsite list if there is a 0% for updates, and can get back on when you update again.

Area 4: Extras (Worth 5% Total)

All you need to do is have a single extra on the site. If it's funny, you get 5%, if it's not, you get 2%.  If there is more than one extra, I will vary the percent you get from 1-5, but it's easy to please me.
^^
Also, fanfics and tournaments don't count, since they are ultra-common on many of the sites.

TIES

Ties will not be as uncommon as you think; if two sites are 3% or less apart from each other, then there will be a vote in IRC to tell which site is better. Example:

Say Shiny Version had a 83%, and Meow Version had a 86%.  I'd take the vote to IRC and let them vote, so Shiny Version still has a chance of winning.  On the other hand, people can agree with the percentage and go with Meow Version.

If there are three sites or more that are linked by the tie, but not all within the 3% range, then all three+ sites will be in the same vote.  The only way this becomes void is if there are over 6 sites linked; every 4 sites will be split off into their own voting groups.

JOINING THE NETWORK

Joining the network means you start with 15% for updates; you decide the fate of your site on this network via updating or not updating.
