Showers followed behind Team Rocket. He made sure that they didn’t know he was there. As the minutes passed, Showers got more and more impatient. “Why does this have to take so long?” He thought. “I need a way to get ahead of them… but how?” Just as if Showers was making it appear, suddenly he noticed a small gap in the bushes next to him, and it was none other than a thin path. “This could be useful. If I could get ahead of them, I could spring a trap to get Meowth for his…” Showers just stood there for a moment, fighting off bad memories. Finally he was able to shake them off, and began along the thin trail. After what seemed like a full half hour, Showers finally laid down to rest. He was very tired, so he just hoped to take a short nap…. But he was interrupted by 2 voices along the trail. “Aha! Finally! To strike!” Showers curled back, and was ready to pounce, when the two arguing people with the egg and the Pikachu walked by. Showers relaxed his tense muscles, and decided to watch them go by. But they didn’t. With that, he leapt up, run over, and grabbed the container of rice right out of the girl’s hand. Showers began to chuckle at the tug-of-war these people were having over a bowl of rice. “That selfish boy… why doesn’t he let everyone have some?” Showers thought to himself. With that, the girl yanked the bowl of rice out of his hand, and began to put it in 4 containers. She eventually set the 4 bowls out on a rock, and they began to eat. But that egg seemed to decide that it wasn’t hungry, and walked over to a tree, and began to stare at a rock. It kept this up while the others ate, and Showers started to get hungry just looking at the food. He hadn’t eaten in quite a while. His stomach grumbled along with his thoughts. Unluckily, the egg seemed to have heard it, and was now staring at him. Showers hoped that the egg thing would just leave him alone, but it didn’t. It decided with a cry of “Togepi!” to go over and see if Showers wanted to play with it. As the egg ran over, Misty noticed that Togepi was running to something, so she let out a call. Showers quickly turned, and began to move off, but in doing so, the bushes around him began to rustle. Now Showers had blown his cover. Upon hearing this, he froze, unsure of what to do. The boy and the Pikachu forgot their meals and leapt to their feet. With that, Pikachu sent a bolt out into the bushes, and the only way Showers was to avoid it was to jump out, so he was forced to do so. Always following the boy, the Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt straight at Showers. Using incredible speed, Showers jumped above the bolt. “I am not wild!” Showers screamed. “Leave me alone! I don’t want to hurt you!!” The Pikachu seemed to understand this, but continued to attack. Angered by this, all Showers could do was try to get rid of the Pikachu. Showers quickly used Surf to try to get the Pikachu away. The blast of water hit the Pikachu head-on, and knocked it into a tree. His point made, Showers stopped the water flow, and watched the Pikachu drop to the ground. Ash ran over to the Pikachu, checking to see if it was ok. |
