Showers had always led a wonderful life. He had lived with a family of 6, with each of the 4 boys having a pokémon. His trainer was named Matt, and he had loved Showers. Showers had the unique ability of somehow being able to control the weather around him, and because of that, he had been named Showers when he was very young. Showers’ brothers also had their own trainer, and they each had a unique ability. Shocking had the way to control any machine with his electricity, and Flames had the ability to start fires out of nowhere, even on water. The last brother, an Eevee, had now power that Showers knew of, but he knew that something was special about him. All had been fine in Showers’ home until a lone Meowth began to knock on their door. The Meowth started to come every day at 6pm, holding a cup, asking for money. Whenever he was asked why, the Meowth would run away, howling. This continued for a week, until Shocking decided to answer the door. Showers also decided to watch. The Meowth came as usual, but found the great bulk of Shocking staring at him. With that, the Meowth ran off as fast as it could go, leaving the cup behind. Shocking closed the door, and turned towards Showers. Shocking walked off, mumbling. Showers stared after him, while Flames sat next to him. Flames went off to bed, and Showers was feeling tired himself. It was probably just something in the air. He give a yawn, and then went off to bed with an uneasy feeling in his stomach. That night, Showers couldn’t get to sleep. Something was wrong, he knew it. But he looked around, and everything seemed fine. So Showers could only toss and turn, hoping to fall asleep. Eventually, Showers was on the brink of falling asleep when he heard a sound. A soft “thunk” came from outside the door. Showers had nothing else better to do, so he went out to check it out. He nudged open the door, and looked out. All seemed normal. Showers walked down the hall, looking for anything that could have caused it. As he rounded the corner, he saw a Growlithe running at him, with a red line of fire quickly following him. “RUN!” the Growlithe screamed as he plowed right into Showers. The two of them went flying into a bathroom, as the fire flew by. Dash suddenly rammed Showers again, this time knocking both of them out the window and onto the soft grass. Dash sprinted off, leaving Showers to play guard. Showers got up and began to walk around the building. All he could see is fire spurting out of all the open windows. The entire house was a blazing inferno. Showers stared deeply into the flame. Was this how it was going to end, he thought. Showers eyes light up with rage. Meowth turned to him.
Meowth: “Well, it looks like I missed one of yas.” Showers leaped at Meowth, attempting to tackle him. Meowth barely got out of the way. Meowth retaliated with a quick swipe, missing Showers. Showers then fired a Blizzard at Meowth, and it hit. The fragments of ice pelted Meowth. Surprisingly, Meowth survived, and then leaped at Showers, swiping downward. He connected right across Showers’ back. A wound began to pound at Showers. Meowth landed, and swiped backward. His claws went right across Showers’ face, leaving a deep wound across Showers’ forehead. Showers screamed out in pain, then wound his tail around Meowth, and began to slam him on the ground. Showers focused all of his energy into his tail, and began to slam Meowth down harder. With that, Meowth began to hit Showers whenever he had an opening. Wound after wound began to appear on Showers’ back, but he just kept on slamming Meowth down into the hard soil. Finally, Showers couldn’t take the loss of blood anymore, and collapsed. Meowth shook himself off, and began to raise his hand in one last killing swipe, but he was suddenly rammed from behind. It was Dash, here to save Showers, along with a firefighting squad. The last thing Showers saw before he fell unconscious was Meowth running way, cursing. Showers never got the chance to thank Dash… |
