PokéBattles Foxfire: Tournament II
Tournaments are a time-honored tradition of the PokéBattles format. As PokéBattles are, at their heart, battles, every tenth battle is followed with a showdown between the best and most popular trainers of the time.
Unlike Tournament 1, this tournament shall be influenced most by people present in the PB-Foxfire Discord. For any slots where no consensus is formed, I will determine participants by random chance based on win rate.

The youth had bleached blonde hair and a head that looked like it had taken one too many knocks.
And he did not seem happy.

I didn't have anything against the young man, but he'd drawn on me, and desperate times.
So I introduced him to a friend of mine in 38 caliber.

So that's what I had it do.

Walking into the arena I felt like a Roman being thrown to the lions in the arena. This wild animal looked like an ordinary fox but I'd read the last tournament and I knew what this ruddy -brown little fox could do.

Inevitably, one of us had to. The only way this tournament was going to end was with one of us going home with a Badge and the other going home in a bag.

Being there were no two ways around it, I decided to make things quick, and whipped out my trusty old six shooter and opened fire. This should not take long.

VULPIX's SPECIAL greatly rose!
Unfortunately, it seemed that in my attempts to ventilate the beastie, I'd only managed to ventilate its chakra nodes. With them open, its power was visibly greater, heat burning around it making the the air blur.

Previously, I had thought what stood before me was a mere wild animal, but here it was, producing basic fabric out of fire. Fire and fabric are two of the oldest and deepest marks of humanity - or so I had thought. If even the beasts of the field did this, what was the purpose of life? Questions poured down like the rain.

The man looked like a kindred spirit - minus the face. That didn't mean he was a friend. Men in my line of business tend to work alone, for good reason.

We chatted for a while about the truth behind reality's façade. He told me about how Team Rocket was manipulating the government and the local police forces. I told him how they could be the only ones responsible for the creation of Mewtwo and the attack on Cinnabar Island - and how that was only the beginning. He told me they were responsible for Koffid-19. I had a hearty laugh and he took offense at that. We had a bout of violent pugilism.

While I was distracted, my opponent was planning something. I decided to give my opponent a Chicago style grand slam. Hit him straight out of the park.

But the Vulpix was ... laughing at me. Had I missed something? The answer hit me suddenly, like a ton of bricks.
