12/31/2022: Network Update: Sandy Version has Battle 52: Delaying Tactics up. It's fantastic! Go read it!
Amber Archive updates: Additional content on Sandy (2001), Gold, and Celery Versions. Of these the only newly retrieved battles are on Celery Version.

12/29/2022: Foxfire #85: Special Report is now up on Foxfire Version.

12/22/2022: Foxfire #84: The Old Man and the Secret Agenda is now up on Foxfire Version. Amber Archive updates: Lunar has something, Liquid has an older host still live online, Viridian has another archive, and a little more information about Fire. At some point I want to make short informational boxes for every version in the Amber Archive but I'm not there yet.

12/17/2022: Network Update: Sandy Version has commentary for Sandy Version (2001-2004) Battles 1-9.
Updates to Amber Archive: Additional archive or live versions of Blood, Brown, Crystal, Digital, Eclipse, Flame, Light, Orange, Purple, Shadow, and Wind versions. Bugfixes to Rainbow. Additional information for Fire. This information credit to Andre.
Amber Music Archive revised slightly to denote some obsolete sections, as Flame and Emerald Version at least both now have local archives with their original MIDI files available.

12/15/2022: Foxfire #83: Manchineel is now up on Foxfire Version.

12/10/2022: Network Update: Sandy Version has Battle #50 "One Shall Return" up. It is amazing and you need to go read it right now.

Added Light Version to the Amber Archive. Also added Armadillo Version, and an empty page for the currently unarchived Fire Version, both of which existed at one point in time but were not present in the old network master list.

Added a new format to Network versions. Going to add scoring guidelines soon. Added Shell Version to the Amber Archive, thanks to previously mentioned files provided by Andre!

11/24/2022: Foxfire #80: Thanksgiving Turkey Throw-Down is now up on Foxfire Version.
Andre, former Emerald Webmaster, has provided me with additional files including several issues of the PokéBattles Newsletter and one or more Versions previously believed to be lost, which will be added to the Amber Archive moving forward!

11/19/2022: Network Update: Sandy Version has Battle #47 "Poached Eggs" up. It's good! Go read it!
Added initial states of Metal Version and Goldenrod Version to the Amber Archive. This contains the newer, then-Geocities-hosted versions of these sites, as well as placeholders for the remainders of them.

11/17/2022: Foxfire #79: Digital Venom is now up on Foxfire Version.

Added Emerald Version to the Amber Archive. Due to Light Version being a tangled mess and one of two instances of both Metal Version and Goldenrod Version being corrupted by a bad host, the last three Amber Version updates will likely be piece by piece rather than all at once as prior versions have been.

Black Version added to Amber Archive. After a little investigation I have determined that the site actually works, at least on two browsers. Use the frame at the bottom of the page for navigation - it has a menu bar.

No Amber Archive update this week on account of me furiously focusing on this War Event.

5/27/2022: It's been one year. PokéBattles Foxfire is now one year old.
For the anniversary, and tying in with long-planned plot, War Event #1 has started.

5/26/2022: Foxfire #54: Moreaudown is now up on Foxfire Version. Tomorrow is the first anniversary - and with it Foxfire War Event #1 is hitting, at least the first act. Keep your eyes peeled!

Purple Version by Shadowstar_Freakboy added to Amber Archive. Images are somewhat reconstructed and a good amount of guesswork was involved in some things.
Purple Version's fan-version is "Lavender Version" but is unrelated to Lavender Version by Ditto.

4/14/2022: Foxfire #48: A PokéBattles Carol is now up on Foxfire Version to commemmorate the 23rd anniversary of Poké Battles. It's a long one and has some flashbacks to arbitrary highlights from older versions. Enjoy!

3/14/2022: JoshTheWriter on Fanfiction.net has written a multi-setting story featuring a PokéBattles segment and I've collaborated helping this happen. Pending the development of an actual links page for PokéBattles Foxfire, hopefully this weekend, you can find his workd on Fanfiction.net or on the Thousand Roads Forums. Rated T, recommended for those ages 13+.

White Version added to the Amber Archive. It's the first taken from the older 2001 PokéBattles archive and I had to reconstruct it considerably. As such, all images I couldn't pull from the Internet Archive or elsewhere are broken, and all links except those to battles (mostly on the top) are broken as well. For broken links, no content is available. If you have additional archive sources, please share them with me!

Some tweaks to Phantom's submission guidelines to hopefully make them both clearer and more welcoming. You are encouraged, if you read this, to write battles and send them in!

1/29/2022: Network Update. Sandy Version has Battle #5 up! It's a battle that would not have been possible 20 years ago when the old network lived, so go read it!

1/27/2022: Foxfire #37 added to Foxfire Version. I was editing it right down to the wire. Added Lavender Version to Amber Archive. Next week's battle update is likely to be early due to real life circumstances. Also, Foxfire Version passed 20,000 views! Thank you all!

1/22/2022: Network update. Sandy Version has Battle #4 up! Added Turquoise Version to Amber Archive.

1/20/2022: Foxfire #36 added to Foxfire Version. Added Dust Version, Night Version, and most especially Dark Version to Amber Archive.

1/17/2022: Added Lithium Version and Celery Version by Ninetales and Ruby Version by deb to the Amber Archive in a fit of night fury. 25 versions left. Most of them are complicated to upload for one reason or another.

1/15/2022: Network update. Sandy Version has Battle #3 up. From now on network updates are on Saturday.

1/13/2022: Foxfire #35 is up. Viridian Version added to Amber Archive.

1/8/2022: Sandy Version has Battle #2 up! Network updated, network layout slightly updated, gonna put up excerpts of network battles on update from now on, by Thursday if not before.
Also, added Plaid Version to the Amber Archive. Its author, Diggeroney, created the 2004 archives that form the basis for most of the local Amber Version archives and many of the live or other archived links. Sadly and ironically, his own version was not saved in this particular archival process.
Also added Digital Version to the same archives.

1/6/2022: Foxfire #34 is up. Sloth Version and Slime Version added to Amber Archives.

1/1/2022: Happy New Year!! PokéBattles: Sandy Version has had its official debut! Go read it!
